PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Indiana University of Pennsylvania celebrated the opening of the John J. and Char Kopchick Hall, a 142,536-square-foot science and mathematics with a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 2, 2023.
Construction of the facility started in 2020. Kopchick Hall has 51,600 square feet of laboratory spaces which include 43 research lab modules. In addition, the Kopchick Hall has almost 10,000 square feet of collaboration space and 8,000 feet of formal teaching space, including three flexible classrooms. Some of the facility's special features include the Cejka Planetarium, imaging lab, laser lab, anatomy lab, and roof terrace and partial green roof for research and will be open for classes in Spring of 2024.
Design and construction management for the project was provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of General Services under the supervision of Secretary Reggie McNeil.

PennDOT District 6-0 New RTMC and Parking Garage

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
PennDOT celebrated the grand opening of the Southeastern Regional Traffic Management Center (RTMC) at PennDOT District 6 headquarters in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County on April 3, 2023.
The Southeastern RTMC operates as one of four (4) Regional Traffic Management Centers (RTMC) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is responsible for optimizing the safe and efficient movement of traffic. Being able to quickly respond to traffic incidents can improve congestion, increase efficiency, and most importantly, save lives. The work of this high-profile project begun in May of 2020 and included construction of the 43,000-SF, two-story new RTMC, which was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification; fit-out of the current RTMC; demolition of a parking structure; and construction of a multi-level, 86,000-SF above-ground parking structure.
Design and construction management for the project was provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of General Services under the supervision of Secretary Reggie McNeil.

Forum Building Renovation and related improvements

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the Forum Building was held on October 10, 2023 after 3 years of renovations.
Located in Dauphin County, this historic building is once again home to its original occupant, the Department of Education and the PA State Library. The building was renovated, preserving important historical elements such as sculptures, murals and architectural elements. In addition, the project added important interior upgrades such as a HVAC system, installation of modern and functional electrical and plumbing, and high energy efficient windows.
Design and construction management for the project was provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of General Services under the supervision of Secretary Reggie McNeil.
